John 13:36-14:7 Jesus the only way to the Father – Part 5

The last multiple variable in the scripture is in verse 7. The sentence reads like this: “If you have (known or knew) me you (would, should, or will) (know or knew) my father.” This issue is based around the interpretation of the tense of the word combinations used. While this seems to be a little issue at the surface, it has some serious implications. Jesus is saying that He had revealed the Father to Thomas properly, within himself. This passage states that the apostles did not truly know who he was. If the apostles knew who he truly was they would have realized that they knew the Father as well (Kruse, 294). The Response to Wisdom

            Within the scripture focus there is to responses to wisdom one is the way of the scoffer and the second is the way of the Wise. The responses have conditional rewards
            The scoffer is one way that individuals respond to wisdom and correction. This individual will refute, put down, verbally as well as physically abuse (in some cases) the person who tries to correct them. Even today there are scoffers in the world.
